~* Wedding and Special Event Catering Contract*~
Payments and Retainer Fee: A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a date. Once CAB’s Catering and the client both confirm a proposal, a 25% minimum payment is required. Additional 25% is due 30 days prior to the event date. The remaining balance is due 3 days prior to event. The $100.00 deposit will be applied toward balance.
Confirmation: An event is solidified when the contract has been read and signed by both parties and the deposit has been received. All individuals responsible for payment must sign the contract.
Cancellation: The $100.00 deposit will not be refunded when a client cancels the booked event. If the client changes the event date, then an additional $100.00 will be required to book the new event date. Any cancellation done within 14 days will not receive refund on deposits made. However, upon undue circumstances, CAB’s Catering may refund portion of deposits.
Menu: Once a menu has been confirmed by both parties, changes cannot be made to that menu seven (7) days prior to your event date. Prior to 7 days of event, changes to menu and/or quantity may be made and balance will reflect those changes.
Food From Other Sources: CAB’s Catering will not be responsible or liable for any food items prepared by other outside sources.
Alcohol: We will cater at events that alcohol is served however, CAB’s Catering shall take no liability or responsibility to alcohol at the event/function, and we will hold no liability to any damages to guests or event location on or off premises. CAB’s Catering does not provide or serve alcohol. We do not hold a liquor license and assume no responsibility.
Leftovers: It is at the discretion of CAB’s Catering whether or not leftovers may be taken by client at the end of event due to food safety. If negotiated upon that leftovers may be taken, the client is responsible for supplying all take-out containers and CAB’s Catering notified prior to start of event. CAB’s Catering is NOT responsible for any illness that may occur from food not kept at the proper temperature after the event has concluded.
Serving Ware: The total price of your event includes the use of all catering equipment (i.e. chaffing dishes, trays, serving utensils) set up and provided by CAB’s Catering.
Rentals: Linen tablecloths and napkins, along with china, silverware, and glassware are offered at additional cost. Rentals must be finalized 3 weeks prior to your event.
We reserve the right to charge for missing or damaged linens or equipment attributed to individuals attending the event. A final bill for any damages or missing linens will be sent to the contract holder within 7 days after the event. Payment is due upon receipt.
Sales tax and Gratuity: A 6% sales tax will be applied to the total price of your event (unless of course tax exempt). Gratuity is not included in pricing. A gratuity is entirely at the discretion of the host.
Delinquent Accounts: CAB’s Catering reserves the right to assess finance charges on any amount unpaid when due at an interest rate of 5% per month. In the event that CAB’s must seek legal remedies to complete execution of this contract, the client shall be responsible for all attorney/legal fees.
Event Setup & Staffing: This contract does not include set up of tables and chairs at your venue, however we do offer this service for an additional cost.
Generally, 4 hours of event service is common and included in the total. This includes set up and clean up time of CAB’s items as well as buffet service time. A fee of $50 per hour per server will be charged if the event goes past agreed time or if dinner is served rather than set up as buffet style.
Event Location: The client assumes all responsibility for any damages/theft to property rented to the client that may be caused by patrons, members, guests, or invitees. Rental location is the sole responsibility of the client and it is recommended confirmation be made with the location that all necessary equipment/rooms are included.
